Straighten Your Smile Seamlessly with Invisalign in Sapulpa, OK

February 22, 2013

For many adults in the workplace today, dreams of finally having a perfectly straight smile can feel just a little too far out of reach. After all, you’ve worked hard to establish a polished, professional image among your peers; the last thing you want is to ruin it by having to wear clunky metal braces. You deserve a solution that helps you feel secure and comfortable in your everyday life, not one that transports you back to junior high. That’s why we’re happy to offer Invisalign as a cosmetic treatment here at Complete Cosmetic Care Dentistry in Sapulpa, OK. With the help of Invisalign, you can transform your teeth in a virtually invisible fashion, leaving you with a smile that you’ll be proud to show off to the world.

Invisalign treatment consists of a set of clear aligners, each designed to represent a stage of movement as your teeth move into their ideal alignment. Drs. Mohanna and Georgy will ensure that these appliances are custom-fit with the help of three-dimensional computer modeling. Then, all you need to do is wear each set of aligners for around two weeks before moving onto the next. No need for uncomfortable tightening sessions or constant adjustments – when using Invisalign aligners, you’ll only need to come to our Sapulpa office every six to eight weeks so that we keep an eye on your progress.

There are several benefits to Invisalign, including:

  • They’re virtually unnoticeable, allowing you to achieve a transformed smile without sacrificing your self-confidence in the process.
  • Traditional metal braces often cause mouth sores or cuts; with Invisalign, you won’t have to worry about discomfort.
  • The aligners are removable, meaning that you won’t need to make any disruptive changes to your diet or oral hygiene routine.
  • Invisalign treatment is usually completed in around a year – a significantly shorter time than traditional metal braces, which can take multiple years.

Don’t let crooked teeth keep you from enjoying yourself. Let Dr. Mohanna and Dr. Georgy give you something to smile about with the help of Invisalign. Our team is committed to providing you with effective, personalized care that always puts your comfort first. Call our Sapulpa office today with any questions you might have about Invisalign, or if you’d like to schedule a consultation.

Lock In Your Dentures In Your Mouth With Dental Implants

February 18, 2013

Let’s face the reality here. The best made lower denture in the world is still not the most comfortable nor most functionally efficient appliance. Despite the fact that dentures are a great choice to replace missing teeth, their retention has always been an issue. To further exaggerate this problem, it is a known fact that an edentulous ridge resorbs a certain percentage per year, therefore causing the dentures to become more ill fitting and create major sore spots in the mouth.
The solution to this problem: Dental Implants. By placing dental implants on the lower jaw, we are able to lock in your lower denture. You’ll be able to enjoy meals at restaurants and gatherings with your friends without worrying about your denture popping out.
On a second note, do you hate not being able to feel the roof of your mouth with that upper denture in? Do you want to be able to enjoy your foods again as you chew? In some cases, placing implants on the upper arch allows us to remove that denture acrylic on the palate giving you back your senses. You’ll be able to feel texture, temperature, and taste again.
Should you consider dental implants to lock in your dentures? ……ABSOLUTELY!
Common questions asked about implants:
1) What is the procedure of placing dental implants? Our advice to you is to click on the dental services section of our website, www.918dentist.com, then click on dental implants and watch the second short video to obtain the information you need.
2) Which dentist can perform the procedure? Of course we hope you choose us, and if the case needs the attention of an oral surgeon, we have one of the most reputable oral surgeons in Tulsa that we can refer you to. Most dentists, who provide this service, including us, have had extensive additional training in implants.
3) Do I need to be out for this surgery? Not really. In most cases minimal oral sedation and nitrous oxide is sufficient to make you comfortable enough to place the implants. If we find it absolutely necessary for you to be under IV sedation, we will refer you to our oral surgeon.
4) Does my insurance pay for dental implants? Most dental insurances consider dental implants standard of care and cover a portion of your dental implant procedure up to your maximum annual allowance.
5) How much do dental implants cost? Dental implants are a lot more affordable than what they used to be. We have checked the prices around Tulsa, and we believe we have very competitive prices. Please come and check us out.
6) What is my healing time? Usually the healing time depends on whether we have placed smaller implants or larger implants. And the actual healing time can vary from 3 weeks to 6 months. But you will not have any down time. Most of our patients are able to go to work the next day. In very limited cases, some may have needed to rest 3 to 4 days before they return to work.
We are here for you 24/7 to support you in your healing process. You have nothing to worry about. Our team and our two doctors are available to answer your questions at any given time. Please feel free to contact us at 918-216-1000, ask us your question on our website, or shoot us an email at info@918dentist.com.
Respectfully,
Your optimum oral health team, CCCD

Get Your Teeth Out Of a Jam with Emergency Dental Care from Dr. Mohanna and Dr. Georgy

February 8, 2013

As we all know, life can be unpredictable at times, even where your dental health is concerned. From tooth loss to jaw pain, emergencies happen, usually at the most inconvenient or frustrating times. Don’t panic, though – at Complete Cosmetic Care Dentistry in Sapulpa, OK, our experienced and dedicated team is committed to providing you with excellent care, no matter the day or time. If you suffer a dental emergency, the first step you should take is to call our office as soon as possible. However, if you can’t get to us right away, Dr. Mohanna and Dr. Georgy are happy to be able to offer you some helpful tips that should improve your condition in the meantime. Here are some common emergency situations:

I knocked my tooth out!

If you still have the tooth, hold it by the crown and rinse it in warm water. Don’t scrub off any tissue that’s still attached! Try to slip the tooth back into its socket. If it won’t go in easily, don’t try and force it – instead, place the tooth in a container of milk, or water with a pinch of salt if none is available. Come in to our Sapulpa office as quickly as possible – the sooner we can see you, the better chance we have of saving your tooth.

I lost my crown!

If you can find it, save the crown and bring it with you to the office. If you aren’t able to come right away, you can dab a small amount of toothpaste onto the affected tooth and gently place the crown back into its original position. Dental adhesive can also be used.

I have a really painful toothache!

First, try rinsing your mouth with warm water in order to dislodge any food from between the teeth. If this doesn’t work, over-the-counter analgesics such as Tylenol or Ibuprofen can be taken to relieve the pain until you can get to our Sapulpa office. However, don’t place Aspirin or other pain medication directly on the gum tissue – this can cause damage.

I have a broken/loose orthodontic band/wire!

Use some orthodontic wax to secure the bracket or wire back into place. Under no circumstances should you use glue!

Don’t let dental emergencies stress you out – Dr. Mohanna, Dr. Georgy, and their team are here to provide you with the most effective and compassionate care available at any time you need it. Call our Sapulpa, OK office today if you’re ready to schedule an appointment.
